I have just found this site from a link off youtube, it is a gorgeous idea. I am learning portuguese (very slowly) and there is so much inspiration here. Thank you.
Lily
Hi Clari
Thanks for your comment. Are you learning Brazilian or European Portuguese? I’m going to be adding a lot more on learning Portuguese in the near future so hope to see you again.

Hello! Before anything else, I’m a fan of your website!
Your site is very interesting. I once had a thing with somebody from Lisbon, so you can just imagine how much your website reminds me of him. It never fails to give me that nostalgic feeling. I love this post most especially. All the love phrases I need are in this video, just in case we’ll be together again. Thank you.

Hi Lily,
Just want to say: “eu adoro a sua voz”
i listen to your video several times a day because your voice transports me to another world. It’s an angelic voice that you have.
God bless you.
Lily
Thank you Elie 🙂

Dear Lily,
I have a small favour to ask you, I don’t know if you can be of help.
I’m a French citizen and I intend to open a small specialised sandwicherie in Lisbon.
Can you advise me which street is the best for such a project, and if it’s complicated to do so. Is the rent expensive or the procedure takes longtime?
I appreciate any information that you can provide me with.
Warm regards,
Elie

Good morning Lily,
My fiancé is from Portugal. His mother does not speak English. I would love to learn European Portuguese so I can communicate with her. It would be nice to be able to have a conversation with him in Portugese as well. Can you please help me.
Lily
Hi Phoebe – It’s been a long time since I updated this website as I have other projects now but I am still learning Portuguese and still in love with Portugal 🙂
So, here are some tips and resources that have helped me learning Portuguese.
‘Teach Yourself’ Portuguese books that come with audio CD’s
Lingq website – has a free version to try and a paid version – it’s a great way to learn.
Listen to the Practice Portuguese Podcast (it’s European, yay!) https://www.practiceportuguese.com/podcast-home/
Listen to Portuguese tv or radio online – even if you understand absolutely nothing, it will tune your ear to the language.
Switch your Facebook/mobile phone into Portuguese
Watch films in Portuguese with English subtitles
Take lessons with a native speaker
Once you have a good grasp of European Portuguese pronunciation, you can try Duolingo (a free app that’s very good but unfortunately only in Brazilian dialect).
Boa sorte – good luck
